Default Ranger Pets -- making them feel loved

Ok first I will admit that I have never made a ranger let alone looked at the skills fully. I am going to assume from the rangers that I have seen that it is not possible. When you go to a shelter, SPCA, breeder, or whoever to get a new animal one of the first things you do is give that new little friend a name.
Another idea for GW is allowing you to name your pet. There's no better way to show your pet you care about them from the get go than by naming him/her. Again I don't know if it's possible since I haven't made one, but I'm assuming it's a no. Anyone else out there think ranger pets need some more love from their masters.

Nobody's perfect. Like I said I have little interest in being a ranger atm. However thank you for the tip atleast I know they have the potential to get love. I have yet to see anyone name their pet though ; ; ... Beastmasters are living up to their names well. <-- The ones I've seen anyway

You haven't met me. I have a nice, big chicken named Redfeather and I love him and squeeze him and feed him worms... and Charr intestines. He likes those.
